What surf board is best for me?

i surf every year and i love it. i want to purchase a board but dont know whats best for me. i have tried a fun board (8' 2") but i havent tried anything shorter. im pretty good not awsome though. i am about 6'1'' 185. what board would be best for me? thanks, devon
