Anybody have any tips on how to handle the situation of being "outed out of the broom closet".?

I live in a small town and I'm getting the feeling that people have somehow found out that I'm a Witch. I'm proud of my Wiccan faith and have no problem holding my head high, but I worry about how Christians in this community will treat my kids. Like most small rural towns in the south, fundamentalism is a major player in our area and whether they want to admit it or not, they are very hurtful when it comes to being tolerant of other faiths. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can prepare my kids for the wrath that is sure to come. I would appreciate all answers from Pagan and Christian alike.
