Dance College/Company options in a small town?

So I live in a smallish town (reno nv.) and their is only one major dance company here and only one college and it doesnt have a major in dance only a minor. At this point I am not really sure I want to go to a dance college, I would rather join a major major company. What I really wanted to do was join NYC Ballet Company but I looked on their web site and your first entry you must be under 18 but I turn 18 before I graduate and my parents insist that I MUST MUST MUST graduate high school and here in my town! So what are my options? What are some major ballet companies near here? What would you do?
