Reception decorations problem...?

So our wedding isn't until next summer and I am trying to figure out what to decorate the country club with. I was thinking chinese paper lanterns but now that every wedding picture I have looked at seems to use those for decorations, I am trying to use something else. Problem is, I don't know what. I need some suggestions on what to decorate with that will still give it a really nice feel like the paper lanterns would. Our colors are going to to white and a green apple green. We are using white roses as well. Thanks!! Any suggestions would help!
